Craig Lahar, D.M.D.

Dr. Lahar was born in Michigan, and raised in Orinda, California. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts at the University of Vermont Burlington in 1979. He then attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, earning his doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1982. He returned to California and completed a one year general practice residency at the University of California, San Francisco, after which he returned to Orinda, and joined Dr. John Maas in private practice. He worked in general practice with Dr. Maas from 1983 to 1985. He then moved to Baltimore, MD where he completed a one-year fellowship at John Hopkins Hospital, after which he finished a four-year residency, earning his certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from John Hopkins Hospital and the University of Maryland in 1990. He entered private practice in Camp Hill, PA in 1990. He practiced at Wood & Lahar from 1990 to 1998. Dr. Lahar opened a new office and ambulatory surgery center in Mechanicsburg, PA in 1998, where he practices today.

Dr. Lahar is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon (Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery), a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons(AAOMS), and Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons(PSOMS).

He lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife Sandy, and their six cats. Hobbies and interests include traveling abroad, looking for antiques, and fixing old muscle cars.
